How I Got Here

I was never a large person overall, however, my gut was huge and well out of proportion to the rest of my body. I could not find clothes to fit me properly. To cover my stomach I had to buy clothes size XXX, which then looked ridiculous around my shoulders and upper torso.

Healthwise, I was always tired and could not do anything strenuous without having a break every 5 minutes or getting out of breath. I had high blood pressure. I saw various medical specialists (for heart, stomach and other), all of whom said, “there is nothing medically wrong you just need to lose weight."

I just couldn't keep going the way I was; Constantly increasing weight, buying larger and larger clothes, becoming more unhealthy in general. I was having way too much food and alcohol, with little to no exercise.

I went to a wedding and my expensive formal Tuxedo (pants, jacket, and shirt, etc) that I had worn only once previously didn’t fit me anymore. I wore it but I was very uncomfortable and I looked pregnant. It was immediately after that (and from recent visits to the specialists) that I heard the manshake ads on Sydney radio station triple M and decided I would give that a go. What did I have to lose other than some weight?

Getting Started

I began using The Man Shake for Breakfast and Lunch each day, and had no issue fitting it into my daily life.  I quickly found the ones I liked and have stuck with those ever since. I also try new flavours at least once when they are released.
In addition, I cut out all sugary products and soft drinks, fatty foods, cakes, chips, dips, etc, you know all the good stuff (ha ha). I began to look at the fat and sugar contents of all food/drink products. I changed from full strength beer to low carb like Pure Blonde.
The biggest hurdle is maintaining the willpower and motivation but seeing it working helped.
I lost 20kg in 20 weeks on The Man Shake
I feel great now. It's been two years since I started using The Man Shake and I've kept the weight off. I have more energy, can find more clothes that fit me better all over and not just those that covered my huge gut. I am no longer on blood pressure tablets.
If someone is out there thinking about starting what would you say to motivate them?
Simple – Just do it. Go cold turkey, none of this I will do it gradually BS. Don’t think that age is any barrier. I am 58 and wish I had done it a lot sooner in life,  I can definitely say it’s never too late to start.
The main thing to remember is that the Manshake is not the “be-all-and-end-all” miracle cure. You need to work for it also. Cut out all the nasty foods, watch what you eat, make that sacrifice, exercise more, etc.
It will work and you feel like a new person.
