A few tell-tell signs you have a slow metabolism that you're putting on weight, you don't feel like eating as much, or you just don't have a lot of energy.
No matter your age or diet here are my top tips to kick start your metabolism so you can drop those extra kilos faster, enjoy your food and have more energy to fire you through the day!
Get Fired Up - Don't Skip Breakfast!
Did you know, while you are fast asleep, your metabolism slows right down? It does this to aid in your bodies to recovery and to conserve energy. The best way to get it fired up for the day is having breakfast.
When you skip breakfast, your body stays in fat storing mode.
Eat The Right Breakfast - Protein Protein Protein!
Don't start your day with sugar filled crap like cereal or a piece of banana bread you get with your flat white; these will only give you a small boost of energy, and you'll be sugar crashing out well before morning smoko.
Avoid the crash and fuel your body correctly with a high protein breakfast like The Man Shake. A high protein breakfast will not only keep you fuller for longer but will also boost your fat burning potential.
As easy as it is to sit at your desk all day long, you need to get moving! There has been a correlation drawn between a lack of movement and slow metabolism.
We aren't saying you have to start working out or exercising (although this would be even more beneficial) we just recommend you start with getting out of your chair more at work, maybe even start using a standing desk and then once you're home not sitting in front of the tv all night long.
