Your chance of Heart disease goes up 100%

Your three times more likely to catch a cold.

So if you're not getting enough sleep, it's time to change that, and we have some hacks to help you get there.

Stay away from your phone at night; studies have shown that the "Blue Light" emitted from your smartphone disrupts your master hormone "Melatonin" that is produced by your brain to help you go to sleep at night.

Other devices to stay clear-of include laptops, Ipads, and even TV. It is one of the biggest things you can do to improve your sleep.

If you have to be on your device, you can either use the "night mode" setting or download a blue light filter app. If you wear glasses, you can have a blue tint applied to them or throw your sunnies on!

A hot bath or hot shower will have you drifting off to sleep in no time.

If you have a bath or shower about 60 minutes before you go to bed, it will trick your brain to regulate your bodies temperature and help prepare you to nod off to sleep.

Go to your grandma's house and steal her lavender!

It's scientifically proven that sprinkling lavender on your pillow or sheets will have you drifting off to sleep quicker than counting sheep as it helps calm your senses.

But ladies, if you're pregnant, keep clear it does have some adverse effects.

If you get to bed before 10 pm every night then every hour you're asleep between 10 pm and 1 am is the equivalent to 2 hours sleep.

Talk about getting beauty sleep it's the best bang for your buck!

The European sleep institute has researched that people who write down their problems before going to bed with a solution or things you have to do tomorrow help our brain calm down and to forget about the worries on our mind while trying to go to sleep.
